AMD's Anti-Lag+ issues causing bans, crashes, and other issues in several online games

AntiLag is not some hidden, unknown feature.
anti lag+ is new, you seem to be confused what we're even talking about.
it's a rx7000 exclusive feature (ask amd why, I don't know) that only just got implemented in the newest driver.
see the actual links I provided for christ's sake, they're literally all about rx7000 series. start reading things before you blindly defend amd.

You are right, it's relatively new. It's more one month old. And has been adding support for several games.
But CS2 was released a week ago. So after AL+ was released.

But there was also a time when GFE was new, but it wasn't flagged as a cheat.

the "but gfe....." thing again, complaining that nvidia know how to communicate with developers is next level amd fanboyism.
don't worry, you have nothing to fear, rx6000 doesn't even get al+, because amd are against artificial feature segmentation I heard.

Why would GFE be mentioned in this article, lol ?
GFE can only add a visual layer via freestyle and it does nothing to change actual game files, unlike al+

It's not like for like situation. Even reflex works in a different way than anti lag+ not to trigger a ban, amd are just super sloppy, it's nothing new, no amount of "....but nvidia" whataboutism from amd fanbase will cover their basic incompetence. why wasn't this discussed with valve before the al+ driver was out ?
the GFE freestyle thing is Banned on some Fps too, on Escape from tarkov per example as of Reshade

banned like you can enable it and get banned or banned like you can't enable it ?
from what I have found, nvidia removed freestyle support for EfT, the bans were handed out to people who knowingly installed older versions of gfe to go around it.

Tarkov forum post:

So, complicated question with complicated answer.

Freestyle is no longer allowed because it allowed for some unfair advantages when using it, and BSG announced this. Whatever method people are using to get around this limitation is technically abuse of third party software to gain an unfair advantage.

Will it lead to a ban? I can't tell you yes or not. All I can say is that is can lead to one and if you are going to use freestyle, you do it at your own risk.
-------------
I believe the advantage is visual only. Freestyle doesn't do anything like what's going on with AMD Anti-Lag+.

No, it doesn't. Hence why it's not flagged. The fact that AL+ has issues with major anti-cheat clients says it's clearly an AMD implementation issue. Even if you ignore that point again.

We're done here, fanboy.
stop blaming amd for their drivers!

It's possible to let the devs know in advance what your new driver will do, you realize ? In that case, they'll whitelist it on release. AMD again thought someone will do the work for them, as usual.......

I'm on this driver and no issues but I didn't bother to enable Anti lag+ since I'm already getting great performance on a 7900XTX. And when they fix it will stay off for me in CS2.

HAHAHAHAHA... you are funny... a dev making a patch in a timely manner... if it was so easy, their games would be complete on launch day...

The devs are throwing rocks at AMD, but it is them that need to wake the hell up. Devs knew about this for a long time. They are in the loop. Not to mention the thing has been available for a month. At this point, they know what to do!

At least, I can say that I have not been banned from SFV and SF6 while using the feature. Why Capcom have no issue while Valve and Epic are pointing fingers instead of doing their job?

Not a good look AMD, it feels like every time they're getting good publicity there has to be some kind of blunder that costs them all that positivity.

Nice to see some of the regular AMD Defence Force come out to excuse or explain it away though, right on time as expected.

It's not the driver per say but a feature inside the driver. AL+ is a feature inside the driver. Driver works fine but if you enable the feature you'll get issues which is why AMD pulled it. It was their fault that they either didn't test it or discuss potential issues over a feature in their driver with the dev or any dev it seems.

Reshade had its own issue with Pubg and it was eventually banned. I am assuming Freestyle had a similar issue.

well, that was fast. rx7900 owners waited 10 months to get the feature removed after 4 weeks.
