Nice recap, Tim.

Going to be interesting to see what's offered on Black Friday and during pre-Christmas sales, especially with the January 1st tariff looming.

Thanks.

I wonder what the comparison is to the percentage previous card prices have lowered years after release like these?

In brief, is gtx 1060 6gb good option to go with if I want to build a pc with high i5 or mid range i7 processor and monitor Full hd resolution with 144hz refresh time?

Go for an i5, and at least a 1070 if you want to do 144hz with everything turned up. GPU is most important for gaming.

Remember that some games are not well optimized. I play at 3440x1440 using a 1060-6, so more pixels than the 1440p graphs above but most games are good at Med to High settings for 60fps. But I have a few that need to be dialed down to 2560 or 1920x1080 thanks to crappy optimization.

Which is why I'm reading this considering a 1070Ti or 1080. No need, just want.

The 1080ti has gone as low as $600 since the RTX cards were announced, definitely recommend keeping this in mind with the holidays looming right around the corner.

Double check your price on the base 1080 from Amazon. They only sell from small 3rd parties and your $450 price tag is for the refurbished model.

yeah agree on that but isnt gtx 1070 meant for 2k monitors for 144hz and gtx 1080 for 4k monitors w/ 144 hz? I'd be rocking full hd 144 hz monitor since I cannot afford 2k 144hz monitor which price starts at 500eur+
