How much of a difference in signal gain is there by having an omni antenna placed indoors (in a window with line of sight to connecting pc's) compared with placing that antenna outdoors on a roof?
It would be much easier to place the omni in the window and then i wouldn't need to degrade signal by running cable...... but not sure how much signal strength/range i would lose by keeping the antenna indoors and inside of a window.
