My motherboard is suposed to take ram up to 2700. Is it possible to use 3200 (even if the system will run as if it was 2700)? 3200 are easier to find nowadays.

Thanks

Yes but the ram will run at the speed of PC2700 and be recignised as PC2700 by the system.

In theory yes. In practice maby. Theoretically there is no reason it shouldn't work but some motherboards are extremely picky. It usually works as long as the slowest stick is in the first memory slot.
