    My thoughts are more on whether they targetted that particular server because they could break it, or whether they just did it to prove a point, and could in fact target any server and get access.

    One is much worse than other in my opinion.

    IMO people who think they have 'completely/absolutely secure' networks are fools. Everything is man made, and it can always be broken into, only issue is, if you are very careful, they will need lot more time to break in.
