Why is anyone surprised that sales are down? At $3,500 dollars, who in the general public could afford to purchase these? Come on Apple, come down off your throne of delusions and price your products so regular people can afford to purchase them!

Actually 3D tv's were probably the biggest missed opertunity in consumer tech history. I have one from 2016, it's the best tv on the planet today. For gaming and movies images have actual depth, it's an amazing experiance you can't get any more. Every time I use it I think how did so many people get this wrong? Answer is they never had it and thought they did. OLED 4K tv with passive glasses was way to go, very few people actually bought that spec and then were confused why it wasn't any good (because what they bought wasn't) and then manufactures were reading that as 3d wasn't what the people wanted (not that active shutter 1080 sucked) and that's why we can't have nice things...
After using a curved monitor for gaming, I would never use a flat screen again. VR is not a scam.
What are you on about. Come back to reality bud. Look up what a scam is. its not a universal word that can just be filled in for everything you cant afford.

I do rather enjoy my 32" curved monitors. At first using a curved monitor felt a little off, but after a few days that feeling went away. I eventually got a second one and I really enjoy them.
I used to use 3 - 24" 1080p monitors (flat screen) and had them setup using Nvidia 2D Surround. Center monitor is directly in front of you and the side monitors are angled at about 20degrees to give you that feeling of the monitors almost wrapping around you. Playing games across that wide resolution (those that supported it well) was great fun. The daughter liked playing racing games with that setup.
However, moving to a single 32" 1440p curved monitor feels a lot better over going with the ultrawide, stretched image on 5760x1080.
VR, that's a personal preference. I agree that it's not a scam, but it also isn't something that everyone enjoys. I don't personally care for it so therefore I don't support it. Doesn't make it a scam, though.

This whole augmented reality market is absolutely stupid. It will never become mainstream. No one wants headgear on their head 24/7 (regardless of weight+size). except attention whres who operate under the delusion going viral on social media is long-term source of income....
