Assassin's Creed, no dialogue solution

For those of you who cannot hear the dialogue but can hear the music and sound effects, this is how you can fix that.

1. "Start"
2. "Control panel"

Classic view
3a. "Sounds, speech, and audio devices"
3b. "Sounds and audio devices"

Category view
3. "Sounds and audio devices"

4. "Audio" tab
5. "Advanced" options in "Sound playback" section
6. "Performance" tab
7. In the "Audio playback" section turn the "Hardware acceleration" down to "Basic acceleration"

This problem usually occurs with SoundMAX onboard audio.
