Assigning extra keys to be their own keys

So I have "M" keys on my keyboard, 13 of them, actually, but I can only assign them as macros or bind them to other keys. I have the same problem on my mouse. I want to be able to go into a game and have a key bound to "m3" or "mouse 7". I don't want to setup a macro or bind keys to my mice. I remember not having a single issue doing this with my g500 in Windows 7 but I cannot figure out how to do this on my G502 in windows 10. google has come up with nothing.

Any help would be appreciated
