ATT are criminals. My contract was up so I could get a new phone, guess what they wanted to do? To get a new phone on contract they wanted to raise my bill $35 (this is not part of their "next" program). Their next program would have cost me an extra $65/m. I ended up just buying a new phone off contract(not from them) because it will be cheaper in the long run. $400 for a new phone or $199+ $35/m increase in my bill. ATT wanted to charge me $650 for the off contract price on my phone, found it new on ebay for $400.
