ATA Raid Help Request

I currently have the following Setup.

Gigabye GA-7N400 Pro (Aka K7 Triton) Motherboard.
2 - ATA 40 Gig Western Digital Drives (One is a 5400 rpm and one is a 7200 rpm)

I would like to know if I can set these up in Raid formation with this motherboard or if the differences of the RPM's will cause a problem.

If I can set these up in raid mode will The computer recognize it at boot and allow me to install windows XP normally or will I have to install some raid driver to allow me to do this?

You can RAID different drives. The size of the smallest drive will be used and the speed will largely be limited by the slowest drive.

Most likely you need to use the F6+floppy to make XP see the RAID array.
