ATI Radeon driver problems..

Hey

I've recently help my friend format his hdd due too computer monitor turning off ingame and him having to restart. He has a ATI Radeon 9550

Or his computer freezing ingame, when i was trying to format before i could get to the partition bit it froze, i bypassed that, now when i try to install drivers on his computer the old problem comes back and the drivers dont work.

Any solutions? i've tried Sisoft sandra but it doesnt detect the card, tried catalyst suit and standard display drivers.

I am no expert but what I would do is start over and make sure u get a new partition, once that is done and reformatted, u should have no problem getting everthing to install an work.

You could try using third party omega drivers.
