Hi guys. i'm in a bit of a fix.. I had a friend of mine from online who had battlefield 2 and got fed up playing it. i really loved the game so he gave up his copy to me. now, i was so excited about the game i couldn't wait and downloaded it before he actually gave me the dvds. as for the cd key he had sent me by email. this is a legit key and it worked beautifully. now i've bought a new pc and i've lost the email with the key and his contact detials since then and since the game was working he never sent me the dvd.. i have the info from registry with the cd key but one of the patches encrypted it and am stumped now on what to do cos i got nothing to prove i now own this copy. all i have is an encrypted cd key! i've tried: 1> installing Battlefield2 on the new pc(intitially with a fake cd key) then patching to the same patch the old pc had (v1.22) 2> pasting the encrypted code form the registry of the old pc into the new pc. i'm quite sure ea wont be able to help me here since i got no proof that i own the game. i still get invalid cd key when joining servers. any help would be appreciated. PS i've seen mentioned in other forums to do a system restore but that's impossible since it's been ages ago that i had patched the game onthe old pc.
