Booting Problem

My computer is not booting properly. I get a message saying verifying dmi pool data... then boot from cd then disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter.
I tried repairing windows using the windows cd but i still get the same message. I can get my computer to boot by putting the windows cd into the cd drive then going into the bios and changing first boot from hard disk to cd rom.
I also checked for loose wires but found none. My os is windows xp 64 bit. I have 2 hhd, maxtor diamondmax 250gb (os installed on this drive), western digital CSE 250gb and a ABIT-KN8 SLI motherboard. Any help
would be much appreciated.

DMI is DESKTOP MANAGEMENT INTERFACE, i really dont know whether u can fix that coz it recieves call as and OS Independent program, if u can get it to work with the repair, then the only option is to format. the best way is not to format but use softwares like partition magic in dos mode, then try to resize yo hdd, and install a new os so that u dont loose yo data.
Unless someone else knows how to help him, pliz do.
