Buzzing sound

hi all,
my sound works perfectly but it has this buzzing noise its not very loud but its enough to drive you insane, though i can turn the sound up higher to cover up the buzz.

i heard somewhere that it could be harddrive interference with the onboard sound? my graphics card also makes this noise when the sound is off no idea why

What's your graphics card? Mine makes some noise too. It appears to be the voltage converter....

i have a x800gt 256mb pci-e but i have a friend whos 6600gt also makes the same noise. its a annoying one i tell you now

Now.. what does that site have to do with anything on Techspot?

Anyways, go to your soundcard manufactor's website and download the newest of drivers for your card ( Dont get another card's driver for obvious reasons )

If that doesnt work you might have to get a new sound card they are like $10 or so from bestbuy

It could be RFI.

Do you have a long or cheap cable connected to your speakers?

i hear the noise in my headphones and on my sound system. and my computer makes the same noise.
