C++ runtime library???? Abnormal termination error? Help!

I keep receiving this error when I shut down the pc and when I restart the pc. I have HP pavillionXE744 running ME.

The exact error message is C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\CCAPP.EXE

Abnormal Termination

I run a network softwear program for work and haven't been able to access this program since i began receiving this error.

CCAPP.EXE is Norton Antivirus. It is either misbehaving or some malware has gotten through and is actively preventing NAV from working properly.

Norton/SYmantec products are Bad, avoid using them if you can

You could try updating the Norton software or just reinstalling it. Do a virus scan with alternative software like the online scan from Trend Micro.
