Hi, I am just wondering whether we can connect/join 2 different Computer Cable Network (RJ45) wire by wire resembling to a normal electrical wire? let say if it work will it affect the quality of the cable?

I've never done that before. I bet it will affect the quality a LOT. It might not make a huge difference if you've got yourself a really short network cable though and you're just trying to get some connectivity... But I'm sure if your cable is something like 20 feet or more and you're attempting to transfer files, it will be messy.

If you have any soldering skills/equipment, this might be a good time to bust'em out. Maybe a little heatshrink tubing... Attention to details might get you far.

An alternative would be to get a straight through RJ45 cable coupler. They sell them cheap. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16833999102

I've done that to a 10 meter cable when I wanted to cross it over with nothing to hand. I used a connector block, and all was fine.
