What just happened? Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, the next first-person shooter in the wildly popular Call of Duty franchise from Raven Software and Treyarch, is due for release on November 13, 2020. On Wednesday, the developers shared a first look at what we can expect later this fall.

The two and a half minute reveal trailer, currently the #14 trending video on YouTube with over 1.43 million views thus far, provides a brief overview of what gamers have to look forward to later this year.

As for the storyline, PC Gamer notes, “Black Ops scholars will notice that Cold War is set in the same decade as portions of Black Ops 2.” Developer Raven, however, implied that Cold War will only be concerned with the events of the first Black Ops. In other words, don’t exact it to cross over into other sequels.

Also worth nothing is that all of the gameplay action in today’s trailer was captured on a PlayStation 5.

What’s more, those who pre-order a digital copy will get open beta early access (a minimum of two days) on the PS4 first. There’s also a worldwide multiplayer review set for September 9, so keep your eyes peeled for that as well.

The seventeenth overall installment in the CoD series is scheduled to arrive on November 13, 2020.

I personally enjoyed the new Call of Duty RTX. The sound effects and graphics were awesome even though the multiplayer is still broken since post- Modern Warfare 3

I tuned out of CoD after MW3 and only jumped back in for Advanced Warfare.

I might get in on this Black Ops but I hope they'll keep the story grounded in some level of realism.

Maybe decent I'll wait on so reviews and a sale, I bought black ops 2 and absolutely hated it, never bought another title.

BO 2 was, if not the best BO game. Mainly cause of the zombies not for mp which has been crap for a decade. Warzone is and was much needed. I think that will last awhile.
BO 1 zombies are a classic tho. However, Transit is coming back which was part of BO 2 zombies. It had some if not the best zombie maps. Buried and my favorite Mob of the Dead.

Loved BO 2, especially the Origins map, even though it takes too long to upgrade all the staffs.

My favorite go to map is always single player on the original Kino der Toten map. Only because I deleted the patch and never allow it to update / patch the game. This allows me to use the glitch where you can get extra weapons (up to 10 total) by throwing a grenade at same time you grab a weapon from the mystery box or off the wall. I just find it fun having 9 Pack-a-Punched weapons (10 if you get lucky grabbing the 10th PAP weapon from the PAP machine).
Of course sometimes I die searching for that special weapon (Thundergun) when in a jam because it takes so many clicks to cycle thru all the guns.

Also, I only buy COD games for the Zombies. If no zombies, then no sale.
