Can i buy a licence

I have just reciently bought an original copy of windows xp for my new computer. after reading other posts, I know that i cant just install it on my old one and be happy. but could i just buy a new licence instead of buying a whole new copy again. any help would be much apprieciated, cheers si

im not 100% sure, but i think you will need to buy a copy for every machine you want to put it on.

As far as I know you can just buy licenses. However this may be different from country to country.
