Found this website and was hoping to find some help on booting an old computer. I turned it on from the start and it comes up with the black and white screen saying it was'nt turned off properly and whether to start in safe mode, or normally etc. But no matter what option i choose, it only gets a far as the windws xp loading bar, then reverts back to the black and white screen. Im not computer savvy, and hoping like hell i can save the files on the computer. Can someone help me understand what the problem is and if i can fix it, how.
