Inactive Can't access Microsoft downloads

I have a problem; I can't access any Microsoft downloads, for instance, to download updates, and to update to IE8, I also can't access AVG updater. I obviously have internet accrss, but the progammes tell me that I've got no internet connection! Please Help!

I followed all the steps in the "updated 8 step" etc, and they work! I can now access all downloads1 Many thanks for your help.

It doesn't work that way.
To make sure, your computer is really clean, you must post required logs, so we can check them out.
