Can't get past login screen in XP Home

Hey guys, I can't get past the login screen. The screen comes up then as soon as I click on my name to login I hear the login in music, then even before the screen changes the logging off music comes on and it goes back to the login in screen.

Anyone have any clue on how to fix this?

Have you tried booting into safe mode?

yes...same thing happens.

have you installed anything recently that might have caused this?

It might be something that is running causing this.

Try safemode - command line only see if that works.

if it does > type in msconfig and once it comes up click on the startup tab and make sure there is nothing on there that looks suspicious.
