Hmm so the computer wont turn on, it's not frequently used either and i know it had a few probs in the past... someone plz help me! Yes i did try to switch power supply from 115v to 250v and nothing happened so i turned it back. And when i plugged it in, i can hear like a.... idk high pitch noise coming from the tower but it wont turn on.

It might help if you listed your PC specifications. You shouldn't change that switch on the back. You adjust that according to the wall socket current. In the USA the default would be 115V. Changing it to 250V could blow the power supply. If nothing happened when you did that, your power supply might be dead already. The other thing is when the power supply blows, it sometimes takes out other components. That didn't necessarily happen but I bring it up only as a possibility.

switching it from 115 to 220 just fried yor Power supply and possibly the rest of the system.

Get a new power supply and see if that works.

220 Volts is the standard used in Europe.

115 Volts is the standard power input for US
