Compaq Laptop-Cubase SX-M-AUDIO ASIO Problem

I have a Compaq laptop Presario 960US....M-Audio Audiphile USB soundcard...Cubase SX...everytime I select in the Device Manager-M-Audio ASIO Driver...my computer crashes and says IRQL driver is not less or equal...M-Audio couldn't figure out what to do to correct this...I disabled the internal soundcard......and It still doesn't work..they say I may have an IRQ conflict..but they don't tell me what to do...would anyone here know?? Please help!! :hotouch:
