Compressed folders

i dont think my computer likes zipped folders. when i right click to bring up the menu to extract files from them it takes about 30-45 seconds for the menu to appear. or if i double click to open the folder it takes just as long if not longer. and it slows down my computer when i do either. its not a big problem but a big annoyance. any suggestions on how to fix this? thanks in advance.

Maybe you should try using a 3rd party zip/unzip utility. That might help. I personally like WinRAR.
