hi my computer will not start up it turns on no problem and HPlogo comes on screen with option to go into set up then screen goes blank with a small flashing line on top left of screen ..this is after i bought a boot disc with windows minipe and loaded that which was meant to reboot everything for me so i could get past windows vista login after i had forgotten password so now i am stuck with a blank comp.

Do yourself a favor, and just make certain of whether the OS files are there or not.
Insert your Windows DVD into the drive, and boot from that. Select "Repair my computer", and then open a command prompt.
Enter dir C:, and see if anything comes up.
