Conductor Error supreme

hey guys well i would like to tell you guys how much i hate my ****ing AG-8 Abit motherboard and its problems.
1. i am getting this Conductor error which is really pissing me off because
i got a system failure enter system disk error and changed the ribbons.
2. When i changed the ribbons it recongizes my M/S but gives me a conductor error
3. So basically if i try one ribbon i get a error and it fixes another, if i try the other ribbon it fixes the other and creates a new one.
4. Each Ribbon is a 40 and 80 so it rules out the ribbons.

I would just like to know how to fix this, or what is the problem. Also its not the Hardrive because i tried it on another comp and it worked great.

Please help me guys thanks!

Did you plug in th ribbon the right way? With 80 conductors it does matter which plug goes where. Did you try all your IDE devices in another computer? In the same configuration?

Yes i did. Even if the Ribbons were backwards it doesnt make sense because the opposite way doesnt have a lot of length... this error is ridiculous and i think a new board is what it comes down to.

Here is the Message i Recieve as the Error.

Ide Channel 0 no conductor cable installed
