config /all problems

hey ,

does any know why when I run "config /all" on my computer Xp os, its runs and then disappears straight away

very annoying.

help. just to recap. I go start/run/config /all and then the black screen comes up then almost instantly goes again.// help

Are you referring to " MSconfig " ? The console where you can alter some of the startup prgms?

I'm not familiar w/ "config." What's it supposed to be, or did you just leave the "MS" off?

ms is different

if you you run "ipconfig /all" it brings up all the ip address and all the other info.

my comp does it but when it finishes doing it, in about 1 sec, the screen disappears??

type 'cmd' (no quotes) to bring up the DOS
window, then 'ipconfig /all' (no quotes)

Hi Bio,

"config" and "ipconfig /all" are quite different things.

if you enter a command in the run box, it may very well run as intended and
immediately exit, or terminate without letting you read anything.

Try this instead:
run->cmd /k somecommandsequence

the /K flag says KEEP the window after processing completes
