  1. Hello. I have a Dell Computer and I am trying to connect an external receiver so I will be able to play my songs (that are downloaded on my computer) on my other stereo in another spot in the house. Please diagram what I need to do to get this done.

I do still want to be able to use the existing speakers on my computer.

simply wire your computer's line out to your stereo's input. depending on your equipment, the stereo input may be labeled aux, line in, cd in. it is possible that your stereo cannot be hooked up to your computer (if it lacks any input jacks). you'll probably need a certain type of cable, the most common one is 1/8" male to RCA female.
