Connections re-visited

Hello there !!!

I am having four devices with me.
A 40gb HG, a 2.1gb HD, a CD ROM and a CD WRITER.
I tried to connect them all at the same time.
But the system detects only 40gb master HD and cd writer.

Guys, tell me what shall I do to detect all of them.

Rearrange your jumpers to have your 40gig HDD and your CD WRITER as master and the other 2 as slave. It sounds like they are all tyring to be master.
