I am posting right now from my laptop, but my friend's is the one with the trojan. Malware persists even after running adaware, spybot, etc. Spybot detects coolwwwsearch. I will be posting a hijackthis log file shortly...

Before posting a HJT log.
First tell your friend to go HERE and have his computer scanned.
Tell your friend to go and read both these threads by RBS. Tell him to follow all the instructions exactly.
How to remove Trojans and its ilk! and How to remove Begin2search / coolwebsearch and other nasties.
Then see. How to post your Hijackthis log-file as an ATTACHMENT.
