Counterstrike graphics help

hey chaps, when i was playing Counterstrike I see all these pixels, flashes of stuff it workd fine for awhile then it gets all fuzzy and things shoot out of the screen. I was wondering if it was my video card. It never happend before.

It was on open gl when this happened, then i switched it to D3D and it still happend then i switched it to Software it looks all crappy but it works.
my graphics card: 3D Prophet 4000XT PCI (64 mb)

And I reinstalled the drivers.

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

It does sound like your videocard is going bad. Have you tried putting the card into a different pci slot?

Can you try the card in a different system? This would show whether it is the card that`s at fault.

Other than that, a new card may well be in order.
