I'm an illiterate about IT problem solving...
I read something about how to get rid of this malware, but would u be so kind to drive me through this nasty jungle?
I'd appreciate e lot if u were stating all the steps i have to follow and all the freeware I have to use during this battle. I want to get rid of the problems before the owner of the PC comes back (end of the week).
Can u also explain me why this machine is so slow?
Characteristics: HD 1 with 16.9/19.1 GB of free space, HD 2 with 88/114 GB of free space, microsoft office 2003 up&running, no geat softwares installed (no games...), windows xp - 2002 - professional - service pack2...

You need to have a read of this - If your system is infected. Read this before deciding whether to CLEAN or REFORMAT.

Then if you should wish to proceed with cleaning your system you need to go and read the Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions. Follow all the instructions exactly.

Post fresh HJT and AVG Antispyware logs as ATTACHMENTS into this thread, only after doing the above.
