D945PSN and SATA drives

I'm building new computer with a D945PSN motherboard with an Intel 820. I have 2 SATA drives and an 2 IDE drives (Harddrive &DVD-Rom). System tries to read off of the IDE drive which is not the boot drive. My SATA drive is the boot drive. The bios sees all of the drives, but will not boot from the SATA drive which I have listed at the top of the boot order. Any ides what could be causing this? All of the drives worked fine when they were in another computer.

i don't know if you have data already on those HDD, but disconnect the power to all of your drives (IDE and SATA) except for the 1 SATA drive that you want to install XP on. Then boot from that, install windows XP, and install your drivers and everything. Then connect the power back to the rest of your drives.

There is already XP installed on the drive

All of the drives have data on them.

It was the power supply

My Ultra X-finity 600 Watt was not powering the drives.
