Hello. Since a year ago I have been seeing white lines across the screen of my laptop. I have a Sony Vaio VGN-NR430E Laptop. The white lines/band running horizontally across the screen is not permanent, and goes off if point pressure is applied from the top coverside of the screen, or on the face of the screen.
The problem seems like a lose connection but one could not be found when the laptop was opened up.
Do note, that the LCD screen does work and does not go off or black when these white lines take over. Also the white lines are not constantly going across the screen and usually only last for a few seconds. Also when the laptop is hooked up to a TV via a VGA cable, the white horozontal lines do not show up on the TV even when they are on the computer.
