Developer blames VR for severe eyesight damage

This is incredibly something that is an extreme.
You have to understand the amount of hours per day and his ignorance that caused this.
I'm hoping that's accurate because I would love to get a VR headset when the PS5 version comes out. Iron man VR sounds amazing and it's the first game that actually has me wanting to get one, but the PSVR currently on the market makes me nauseous and I'm hoping the next one has a fast enough frame rate to fix that issue for me.

I have a family doctor and my pair of optometrists I consulted, all three of them stated that unless you have underlying conditions it isn't a problem, they noted though force yourself to blink, as the problem with staring to long at something is hardening of the corneas which is a problem with staring too long and intently at anything without blinking and an issue this day and age where people stare at LCDs all day long and formerly books. Which is why they said manufacturers tell you to take breaks every hour or so, they told me lack of fresh oxygen to eyes can lead to alot of the problems people have with VR and the facial mask resricts fresh air and the opening at the nose only traps exhaled air in the mask causing fogging and eye irritation. So as long as you take breaks and slowly allow you body to adjust you will be fine.
Personally I use it for my vertigo that gets worse if I don't experience heights on a regular occasion, so I can trick my body into becoming and staying accustomed to heights.

They did say there are alot of questionable data out there that is more nonsense than actual fact they explained that a doctor out of thousands can publish papers without a proper study of scientific method and draw conclusions based on improper testing to support their theories and those tend to disappear after a year or two as they get refuted and proven incorrect until then however people overreact an take them as gospel.
