Diablo Immortal earns almost $50 million in its first month, still has lowest user score...

If you're paying to get through PVE, then that's on you. You might as well pay a friend to play through the hard parts if you're going pay to win.

P2W in PVP is no fun, in my book.

I'm not paying anything....never have never will. Not sure where you are getting that idea?

Pay 2 win sucks, really bad. But you are missing out on a fun game with more to do than D3. Something to do until D4 hits...and I have not spent a dime, never will on this game.
The Pay2Win mechanics hooks you in with casino-gambling tactics and tricks you into thinking it is fun, but after several weeks of playing, you just realize it was a boring repetitive grind that becomes a "chore" where the game is constantly persuading you to spend money on it. Even if you don't spend money on it, you often realize it was more chore than fun.

0 $ spent ,0 interest in any blizzard/activision game , be they free or otherwise. Terrible company .

Horrible news for gamers everywhere. You can bet every major publisher is watching these results closely and factoring them in to their upcoming AAA launches.

I see little we can do to stop the whales from using their purchasing power to change the nature of games from entertainment made to be played to e-peen made to be bought. I'm glad I at least have a long backlog of older games that were made strictly for entertainment, and those are what I will stick with.

Maybe if we're lucky a tiered system will evolve whereby whales are given a "VIP" experience that involves being made to feel as if they are the #1 player on their server (with hopefully all other "players" on those servers actually just being AI NPCs that exist just to feed the whale's e-peen), and everyone else can go back to playing a real game for the fun of it.

Most of us learned fair play and good sportsmanship as young children, add this to the list of all the lessons apparently forgotten over recent decades.

Diablo Immortal, which Metacritic users continue to rank as the worst game of all time...
Online poll rankings like this are a textbook case of misuse of statistical sampling and inference. I wonder how many people actually realize this.

I have been at the point for some time now where I pay more attention to and give games a chance that were review bombed. And most of them were good to very good games that got bombed because a bunch of nerdlings didn't get exactly what they wanted.

You are right about that. I've played many games with horrid reviews from professional sites, but were great! I play a game that is fun, not what fits a nerds checklist of features.

Those nerds are giving you better games to play so don't diss them. Without them you would be having Cyberpunk type of launches on every game with half of the content locked behind dlc and regular gameplay would require you to buy loot boxes.

Keeping game studios/publishers in check is not a bad thing. It's like how I call Epic's store "cancer" every time I get a chance to because of their crappy third party exclusivity deals.

There is no paywall...and my using their resources/servers to play a free game and not spending a dime is also a vote that some pc gamers will not spend on P2W and just want a normal paid for game. So I'm voting and influencing how I can as well, but you do you.
Exactly right.
