  1. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO SICK of getting damn viruses, I just cant begin to tell you..

I got hammered today with a TROJAN, lost EVERYTHING..

Last week it was a sneaky little worm that I tried to get rid of for a month!

If just doesn't stop, and to top it of, I am running NORTON COORPORATE edition!

Thats a bummer dude. I luckily have not yet lost any serious data to a virus, although I have lost data due to hardware failure.

How are you getting these viruses? E-mail? or something else?

I was hit by a virus a little while back. It ate every single Jpeg image on my hdd. (Destroyed my entire p0rn colelction :p) I had to reinstall everything because of the number of programs that use jpg files (Quake3, etc...)

(Cough Cough) I've never been hacked because I've had some experience with the subject (I've stopped now and never destroyed anything. Just explored).

All you gotta do is run Norton Antivirus 2002 for viruses that protect against internet scripts and viruses.

For the trojans, just don't take any files from people that you don't know who they are. Just take them from good personal friends. Most crackers who use trojans who destroy computers are *****s. I'd rather explore it then blow it up. Also, most trojans aren't like viruses. Someone over like AOL Instant Messager or ICQ will send you the file then will get a IP sniffer to get your IP. Then they're in. But, someone won't send you an email or implement a trojan into a website because it wouldn't really help them at all. They don't know who you are.

    There's my bit of advice.

If you really want to protect yourself, just get the two Norton programs. Antivirus and Personal Firewall (And maybe Internet Security, I'm unsure about that one).

Tell you the truth, I got this one from somthing I downloaded from DIRECT CONNECT. I am not going to lie, I download the heck outta stuff (at blazing speeds due to my killer connection). I grab movies, warez, the whole thing. I know I am taking a chance, but I just figured since I do have the ultimate in NORTON protecting me, I would not have so many problems.

I've had VIRUSes try to attack when I open certain web pages. Many of you w/o detection wouldn't believe how many flot around in web pages.

This virus was the worst. I had a worm once that I could not get rid of, but it didn't really do any harm.

Dont these damn hackers have anyhting better to do?? Ya know, go get laid, or go out drinking with your pals, I mean really......

A lot of virii use flaws in M$ Outlook and/or Outlook Express. Are you people using these programs?
Methinks the best way to be safe is to use an operating system for which virii don't exist ;)
