Do UEFI motherboards use 16 bit code for POST and bootstrap loader?

I wonder if UEFI motherboards that start using UEFI (not the compatible MBR code for backward compatibility) still start up in real mode (16 bit).
For example: in a modern PC with UEFI and Windows 10, the UEFI is supposed to use 64 bit drivers. Is the POST and bootstrap loader still using 16 bit code and using the 16bit real mode for the processor?

Also: if 64-bit code and drivers are used, are these replaced by 64-bit OS drivers after loading the operating system as happened with older MBR BIOS motherboards?
