On microsofts website, there is a comparison chart ( sorry i cannot find it again ) between Windows XP Home Edition, and Windows XP Professional Edition. It says somthing about support for multi processors or somthing, im not sure exactly. Wait ill just try and find it again.. ah here it is ( sorry if it sounds like im talking to myself lmao )

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/howtobuy/choosing2.mspx

" Scalable processor support – up to two-way multi-processor support. "

Does this mean i NEED XP professional to run my Intel Q6600 processor? Please let me know quickly as i intend to order it within the next 5 mins as to what i need! Thankss everyone.

IIRC, WIndows counts physical CPUs, not cores for the crippling "feature". So as long as you use only one CPU socket, it counts as one processor.
