Does vista install fast on a format? and does it format fast?

Does Vista format fast and does it install fast, cause I know that windows xp is slow most of times
I hope Vista installs and formats fast

Vista will take 30mins to an hour to format your drive dependent upon the size of the drive,ram etc you have. Not too bad at all, installs really quickly as well.

The speed of a format and install is largely dependent on the system spec and not the OS itself. Why is format and install speed important to you?
