Double Clicking Opens Search and not Folder

winxp:
every time i double click a folder on my desktop, it opens the search program.

i have to right click and click open to open the folder i want.
does anyoonoe know how to fix this?

Open Windows Explorer go to Tools | Select File Types tab | Select Folder click Advanced and check that the Actions is Explore.
If it is NOT see here and run HiJackThis.
