My DVD/CD drive has stopped reading any discs that I insert into them. My laptop is fairly new as I received it as a Christmas present. My laptop is a Toshiba (Satellite series). This happened once before about a month ago. When that happened, I simply reformatted my HDD (sorry for incorrect terminology) and it worked again. I would do the same again, but I have a lot of things on my HDD that would be a pain to get back including things that require internet access like the Orange Box (I do not have internet access for my laptop at the moment).
Other details:
It read a DVD perfectly about an hour before it stopped working.
My OS is Windows Vista (32bit)
I recently deleted a HDD partition (although that was not the case when it happened before).
I also have a problem when using my capture card. When I try to record it says "HD Space limit, stop it". Although that is likely completely unrelated.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
