DVD Drive problems

I have a Dell Dimesion 8100. It has an NEC DVD Drive, an HP 200I DVD+RW Internal drive and an I/O Magic DVD-RW DL external drive. My problem is that neither drive is burning any media cd's or DVD's. The I/O Magic drive is not reading any disks whatsoever. I've updated the firmware and the drivers on this drive. The only real change i made to the PC was install Tunebite. But since that has been uninstalled and still no luck. Any suggestions

How old are the drives, and how much use have they suffered? DVD drives, unless you get the top of the line, are extremely fragile and often fail after a year or so. It may be your luck that both drives have gone belly up.
Perhaps you could temporarily try another known working drive to see if the problem is simply due to wear and tear?

The HP drive is a few years old now. The I/O Magic drive is only about a year old.
