Emachine will not start XP

Help!! I have an Emachine T3025 with 2gigs ram. My primary use is PhotoShop. Last night I downloaded a different version of a Canon fileviewer. as it downloaded, I was asked if I would allow an hkey registery change and I clicked ok. When the computer restarted, it stopped at the Emachine logo and would not continue. I tried to use the restore cd that came with the computer and hit "delete" during startup to enter the setup menu. Now it is stuck at the Emachine logo with words "Entering Setup...." and will go no further.
I hope there is a simple answer. I'm much better at photography.

Well,

A simple registry change definately won't be able to stop your computer from entering the BIOS. Next time, don't hit delete and just see what happens after that. It may boot from CD after the POST screen which then you can use the CD. Let me know.
