FireFox works, IE dosen't?

I've been using FireFox for a while now and it works and runs fine. But sometimes I need to use IE to access certin pages. Well, IE dosen't connect or do any thing at all. It just acts as if I don't have an internet connection. While FireFox runs fine. What could be the problem with this?!

Hmm, I have the opposite problem. IE works fine but when I try to use Firefox it shows no internet connection

proxy?

sounds trite, but make sure the settings from the working browser are copied into the alternate. unless you're in a corp environment, most users don't have a proxy setup, so specify 'direct connection' and let the browser directly access the gateway.

if you're running a 3rd party firewall, disable it and enable the freebe Windows Firewall. This will ensure the browser(s) are not being denied access.
