Foxconn says China can no longer be "the world's factory"

You can do that if you can afford not to wear underwear or other garment or go about bare booted. But anyway without slave masters like American corporations, there will not be slave labour.
China is the world's factory, the United States is only a part of the problem. All first world nations are turning the other cheek to China's labor practices. I'd argue that the United States is the only country currently and actively doing anything about the problem. You can buy shoes and socks and underwear in places other than China or third world slave countries. You pay a premium, but it is generally of higher quality, too.

Take care of your things and live within your means. We live in a society built around debt. People get to a point where they accumulate so much debt they have no choice but to buy the cheapest things available.

EDIT: Just realized you just made an account 30 minutes ago and your first post was defending China and insulting the United States. You also seem to know quite a bit about China. It isn't unheard of for the CCP to post propaganda on websites in other countries, so I have to wonder.....

That's an amazing perspective.....think about it. What your saying is we're hooked on China's crack, and your a fool to do anything about it. Your going to have pain from withdrawal, your cutting off doing business with your dealer. Your just going to find another dealer, so you might as well just give the dealer you've got now everything they want. They've planned their drug empire for the long run, you can't last that long. Well, thank God not every addict thinks like you. Yes, it's gone too far, yes we're in deep, and yes, they've increased the price to do business with theft, expansion, and contempt because they were certain we'd all think like you. Well, some of us don't, so we'll see how it goes. BTW, using a clinic for withdrawal (India) is far, far, better than staying with the pusher (China).
Hey you can fix "China " problem in US anytime. Set minimum wage @ $0.20 instead of $14 or w/e it is now.
Done.
You can't have it both ways.

Anywhere that doesn't support communism.
Well, then China should be no problem whatsoever.

It doesn't seem to be 14$ anywhere. Apparently it's $7.25 federally and $13 in California (which is the highest). In China it ranges between $1.5 and 3$ depending on the region, so US is not so far off. That is nominal, in terms of Purchasing Power the difference is quite smaller.

I would have to agree with their analysis, not only for the reasons mentioned but because China has such an abysmal record of theft of designs and other similar closely held information that they simply cannot be trusted. In my work I am entrusted with many "trade secrets" which I must find trustworthy fabricators, manufacturers, and software designers that will do the work and not expose the information. That is a very special relationship and China was once in a position to fulfill such requirements; but they threw that all away and as such, are no longer trustworthy by any company, nation, etc.
I am already looking forward to days where they will call us all racist oh nvm. I heard that they are already starting it but whatever, you get what you F deserve. Fits here I guess :)

China has more teenagers than America has people.

The attempts to divest from China will inevitably lead investors and manufacturers to the only other place with the cheap labor and government stability necessary: INDIA.

You can't "divest" China no matter how hard you try because even if you switch over to India, you still end up having the exact same problems you had before - only now China continues to grow stronger across Southeast Asia and Africa as well as South America. China and India are strategic rivals. China and America are economic rivals.

Their game plan is 6000 years in the making and yours is what? 244?

Huawei is gonna make a fortune while you're busy retooling.

And then you run the risk of being cut out of China's market.

You'd have to be a FOOL to start a trade war with a country manufacturing so much of your products and holding so much of your debt.
Huawei are running out of chips now, no more Kirin. Huawei being blocked from a growing list of countries 5G

The China holds US debt argument was going around for a while there until this year, its totally dubunked... They have zero leverage with that, google the reasons.

The Chinese market access is a scam going back hundreds of years.

The Chinese people should not have to suffer, CCP is destroying tibet, hong kong, xingjang and have been harvesting humans organs and disapearing people for thought crimes.

Whatever

China’s getting richer while Americans are protesting, rioting and hate their government.

Everything true suddenly seems to be “debunked” I notice.

Yeah...ah hah...sure...whatever

yea it's not that far off, having your iphone cost $1000 or $7000, same difference right?
Nevermind what Foxxconn actually pays employees, but, let's just say it's not $3 because they get all inclusive accommodations.

Actually I wonder how many million Americans would accept a job with Foxconn salary and conditions, must be quite a few by now.

Their goverment propaganda machine works quite well when they control all the media. Apparently their citizens love human right violations and being controlled like slaves? Guess what happened when they rioted in Tiananmen Square. Pointing fingers is laughably the last thing China defenders have a right to do.

You can't replace China with India or Brazil. Those people don't have the same approach, dedication and organization when it comes to work. Now, Vietnam might be a good location. They have that East-Asian mindset. But India or Brazil... that would be a mistake.
