  3. I wonder why they left the US out of this deal. Something seems a bit off.
  4. Since when does the United States get left out of promotions, especially in technology?

Whoah there Microsoft. This doesn't feel right.

Open office.. $0 and not reliant on a sometimes flaky university/college LAN system hacked together for old buildings not designed for technology.

If it works for you, cool. But Office exists and is the leader for a reason.
  9. Damn. Bought an Office 365 subscription a month ago so I don't qualify :(.
On the bright side, they just reminded me that I should cancel my (AU$80) Xbox Live subscription that I haven't used in 3 years.

    Heeellooo Steam sales!

I won't be taking advantage of this most generous offer. I'm not interested in Office 365, any XB or XB membership.

Well I don't qualify since I live in the USA. I signed for Office 365 Home Premium earlier this month and it's not bad at all. I still have copies of Office 2010 and 2013 Professional and Professional Plus from my TechNet subscription (which will be retired next year) but I was curious about 365 so I decided to try it out.

This is an interesting move by Microsoft. It seems they're keen on getting as many people all over the world to sign up for Office 365 Home Premium to retain their position as the purveyor of the most used office suite but I think it goes a bit deeper. More on this later.

This offer is only valid if sign up for Office 365 Home Premium as of yesterday (I signed up on the 4th). Ah well, easy come easy go.
