Gonna Format my hard drive. What drivers will I need when I am back in action?

Hi everyone, I am going to format this notebook for its first time (system specs are in my profile)

I was wondering what drivers/programs I`ll need to download, and maybe if I could get some links to these drivers? I have an external hard drive btw.

As far as important programs I`m thinking...

Spybot search and destroy
Avast antivirus
K-Lite Codec Pack

Your specs list is slightly, um, deficient.

If you don't know NOW what motherboard or computer system you have, then don't start doing anything.

Identify the computer manufacturer make and model, or, if a u-build, the motherboard make and model.

Then go to the appropriate site, download ALL the drivers and updates to a CD so they are handy.

Anything missing? Then get them from the component manufacturers sites.

Can't find them? Ask.

Then, when you are actually ready, make your move cowboy!

If you built the computer, you may find a tool such as Belarc Advisor (free) to be very useful at telling you what hardware you have.

Don't forget, too, to copy to CD/external hard drive any installation files for applications you downloaded online, make sure you know all your license numbers, etc.

How do I copy my bookmarks and cookies onto my external hard drive??
