Grab Destiny 2 for $12 as an early unlock with Humble Monthly

Humble Bundle’s monthly subscription service, Humble Monthly, is a curated collection of games sent to your inbox each month. In exchange for $12 per month, you get a collection of titles collectively valued at a minimum of $100.

The catch, if you’ll call it that, is that most of the games are a mystery and aren’t unleashed until closer to the end of the month. Of course, there’s also an early (immediate) unlock designed to grab headlines and hook players at the beginning of the month and this time around, that early unlock is none other than Destiny 2.

Bungie’s online-only multiplayer first-person shooter is a great deal by itself for $12 but add in additional games and you’ve got a tremendous offer.

The timing of the promotion likely isn’t a coincidence as Bungie and Activision are looking to put Destiny 2 in the hands of as many gamers as possible ahead of the launch of Warmind. Announced in late April, Destiny 2’s next major DLC is set on Mars and adds new weapons, a hoard mode and more. It’s slated to land on May 8 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC for $19.99.

Humble Monthly usually offers a pretty solid collection of titles and unlike other game-based subscription services, purchases are yours to keep forever. For reference, April’s bundled titles included Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Mafia III, Mafia III: Sign of the Times DLC, God Eater 2: Rage Burst and Lara Croft GO, among others.

Considering what Activision and Bungie have tried to do with DLC and micro-transactions to rip-off consumers, even at this price it's still very expensive.

I was very sad that this is in the humble bundle. I would cancel but I already bought it for the year.

Triggered much?

I get that Destiny is weaksauce (very weaksauce), but that response is as bad as the fanboys who treat Destiny like some sort of rare gem.

Don't worry I'm sure Bungie and Activision will make up for it by removing more existing content from the game and then release it as a DLC or season pass bullshit.

When you remove content from the base game and then resell it as DLC after people bought the game then yeah... you are the only guy "triggered" here by the hate the game gets.

I hate on Destiny every time I comment about it. It ain't Destiny that got OPs hate, it was Humble Bundle.

I have to say first I felt Humble was sketchy and after reading many positive comments and the advertising on techspot I gave it a shot and I'm very happy.

I've played destiny I didn't like it at all. What would you think I'm "triggered" by not wanting to purchase something I won't play?

"They put a game in their line up this month that I don't like, so I would cancel my sub if I could."

That's not a very rational course of action. That's like dropping a Netflix sub because they added a show you don't like.

Don't try and straw man this. Netflix and this are totally different. One I don't buy netflix shows each months. I gain and lose all netflix shows when I unsub or resub. This if I had chosen to not purchase humblebundle this month I would still have all the previous games I got from it. I also can resub when the games are good. Your just pissy because I think Destiny sucks.

Bro...

Destiny is garbage. What part of, "I was talking about your reaction to one game being included in a bundle" don't you get?
