hard drive errors

can someone tell me how to access the check disk for errors in windows xp as i can not remember how i found it about a year ago

My Computer, Right Click on the Drive you want to check, Properties, Tools, Error Checking.

Tick the 2 boxes. Press Ok or whatever it says

If it's C drive, you'll need to reboot and it will run at startup

If it finds a lot of errors / bad sectors, download & run the Diagnostic from the Drives manufacturer, it could be on it's way out!
