Fragrant Coit Posts: 345 +1 Nov 1, 2007 #2 My Computer, Right Click on the Drive you want to check, Properties, Tools, Error Checking. Tick the 2 boxes. Press Ok or whatever it says If it's C drive, you'll need to reboot and it will run at startup

Fragrant Coit Posts: 345 +1 Nov 1, 2007 #4 If it finds a lot of errors / bad sectors, download & run the Diagnostic from the Drives manufacturer, it could be on it's way out! i.e http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/support/downloads/seatools/ http://support.wdc.com/download/ Western Digital or whatever you have
